Anthony Kim has been something of a revelation this year on the US tour. The 23 year old is having only his 2nd full season on tour and he has a maiden win under his belt already this year, when taking the Wachovia championship back in May. After that tremendous effort it was no surprise to see him perform rather tamely at the TPC the following week, and I beleive he was still feeling the effects when he was only T40th at the Crowne a fortnight later, He had a much better showing in his first US open and finished a creditable 26th, and has not played since. He has amassed enough Fedex points to warrant a place in the end of season money spinning bash, and is surely going to be in his first of many Ryder Cup squads. There isn't too much course form to go on this wee kas it's only the second time the championship has been played here, but I like Kim an awful lot and expect him to play very well this week.
Ben Crane has also had a good solid year with 3 top tens including a brilliant 6th in the TPC, but I think he has peaked now for the season as 2 very average performances in his last 2 outings have shown. I don't think he will be a match for the exciting youngster and I think he will struggle to overcome Kim, who at even money is a good solid bet.
